Saint George’s Church is a celebration of diversity and inclusivity located in the most culturally and ethnically diverse borough in the City of New York, which in turn is the most culturally and ethnically diverse city in the United States of America, and the world. Located in the Queens neighborhood known as Flushing, Saint George’s Church has been a presence in the community since 1702. Currently worship is offered in three languages: English, Mandarin, and Spanish. Our worshipping community is reflective of the rich diversity that surrounds us. Our church building stands smack in the middle of Main Street as a historic landmark providing a link to the rich history of Flushing, where the seeds of religious freedom were first planted over 300 years ago.
Today Saint George’s Church is a welcoming mostly immigrant Episcopal parish dedicated to worship and outreach, in the unifying inclusive spirit of the Christ.
